So… what have we got?

QB – A first ballot hall of famer at the end of his career after losing an entire season to four neck surgeries.
RB – A retread who was ineffectual until paired with Tim TEbow in the backfield
WR – A sophomore with promise (DT) and a journeyman who made a brief splash three seasons ago but has underperformed since
TE – ? Denver has tight ends? Who knew?
O-line – One of the worst offensive lines in the game. Much like Willis McGahee benefited from Tebow’s running and escapability, so did the offensive line that allowed among the most sacks in the league while trying to protect much less mobile Kyle Orton. Think Peyton Manning is going to be as mobile as Kyle Orton? uh uh.
CB – Another first ballot hall of famer at the end of his career, badly exposed in several games last year as no longer being an elite cover CB. He does tackle though. On the other side of the field…. pppfffffttttt!
S – This is like the tight end on the other side of the ball.
LB – Losing their best tight end of the last decade, and their much-hyped rookie never played up to his previous level after breaking a thumb. Who knows?
D-Line – Unable to rush the QB, unable to stop the run, and losing their “core” lineman to free agency. This is expected to be the FIRST place Denver will try to fix with the draft. Which means they won’t be drafting a wide receiver, running back or offensive line to help Peyton.

How does this shape up to be a “top contender for the Super Bowl” again?
