Luckily, ours was caused by lightning. Insurance paid for it, after the deductible.
Well, ours simply died of old age. The pump repair people said they were amazed it lasted as long as it did.
Was it Heinlein who said something to the effect that civilization amounted to adequate plumbing, no more, no less?
Heh, sounds like Heinlein. It was Heinlein who said you could judge the level of civilization of a culture by checking out their public restrooms.
