Apparently it was a 9.2 quake and still considered the second most powerful quake ever recorded. Amazingly the loss of life was minimal relative to the severity of the quake.
I really feel for the people in Japan. Their road back to normalcy will be very long and difficult…
Man, how do you EVER recover from something like that? The images out of Japan are truly horrific.
I can’t imagine how hellish it was to be in the middle of that, or to be involved in the relief effort. Makes a guy ponder why he bitches and moans about little stuff. I mean, it makes THIS guy ponder it.
Well, the Japanese did manage to recover from two nuclear blasts and the complete devastation of two cities and hundreds of thousands of lives. They’ll find a way to get through this…eventually.
I wonder how many Japanese were moaning about the small stuff just before the quake hit? Things like this certainly do put things in perspective…
Yes sir, they do, indeed.
