One of the things I predicted when Obama was elected President was middle east instability as Obama’s policies created a power vacuum in the region. This is exactly what is happening. It always amazes me how the supposedly intellectual elite and foreign policy experts seem to be able to analyze and interpret the tiniest details of geopolitics but totally miss the big picture time and time again.

There is no mystery to what is happening in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya, Israel, Lebanon, or across the entire region. The thugs and theocrats who run the area have seen that Obama will not respond to provocation and will literally bow to dictators, and as a result, the entire region is striving towards a new geopolitical equilibrium. This is escalating as the forces at play realize that Obama is completely out of his depth and seems totally incapable of dealing with the situation.

There’s really no mystery to this at all. This is a direct result of Obama’s geopolitical naivetee, weakness and incompetence.
