Man, I normally love to rag on Cutler, but the one game I wanted him to win, he threw away with an incomprehensible throw not only into coverage, but pretty much right at a Philadelphia player. I suppose he thought he could throw it so fast that it would be past the defender before he could react, but not so much…
At least Dallas managed to scrape out a victory in a game they stunk up the place….

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI didn’t mind that interception so much (a tipped ball, a wide receiver rendered incapable of fighting for it, another defender coming up with the tipped ball, all with around a minute to go…) — but the THREE times he had wide-open receivers and overthrew each time when each would have been a TD?
Now, THAT was not professional quality…
I disagree with your description of the interception. It was a “tipped ball” only in the sense that the first person the ball encountered was unable to catch it cleanly. I saw three angles of that replay and even I could have seen that there was no way that ball could get to the receiver without the defender being able to make a play on it first. The receiver he threw it to was not merely covered he was double covered. That was just another ball that he should never have thrown.
