Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackCool. Give us a good review. The wife wants one and I’d like a good run down. I’ve got a Storm and love it.
I’ll post a review. After one night of using it, my only complaint is that the email app has crashed twice.
Initial impressions:
The screen is just freaking awesome. I can’t believe how easy text is to read. This blog fits on the widescreen mode and all the text is readable. The touch calibration on the screen seems to be spot on. The slide open keyboard is easier to use than I expected, but I expected it to be pure hell, so that’s not high praise. I still have to be very careful to avoid typos. The user interface so far has been pretty intuitive. It’s probably not as slick as an iPhone, but I’ve seen iPhone screens and they seem chunky and pixelated compared to the Droid.
It feels solid, like a chunk of metal, not like a piece of plastic. It’s got only a few buttons and they seem sturdy and well recessed to avoid accidental pressing. I’ve taken two photos so far and while they don’t compare to my wife’s Nikon pocket camera, they are much better than my old phone.
Surfing the net is pretty simple, easy and effective with the phone. Email is a snap. I almost think I could take this on a trip and leave my laptop at home and do most of what I do on computer while traveling.
I’d seriously be interested in a portable large-sized keyboard and a fresnel lens.
