Up until now, other than a few snarky comments from Barack Obama himself, most of the administrations attacks on Fox News have been made by Rahm Emanuel or David Axelrod or one of his “Czars” or cabinet members.

Today Obama had this to say:

After weeks of public feuding between the cable news channel and the president’s top aides, Obama seemed to agree with statements by his advisers that Fox is not a real “news station.” “I think what our advisers have simply said is that we are going to take media as it comes,” Obama told NBC’s Savannah Guthrie. “And if media is operating basically as a talk radio format then that’s one thing, and if it’s operating as a news outlet that’s another but it’s not something I’m losing sleep over.”

The fact that this sort of thing is not having a chilling effect on news organizations around the world is nothing but proof of how far in the tank the “mainstream media” is for Obama. I can’t remember in my lifetime when a sitting President literally tried to shut down a news organization that criticized his administration. This isn’t just some casual thing either, this is part of a determined effort from Obama to marginalize and shut down opposition to his agenda.

When I say that this is Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Daniel Ortega tactics, I’m not kidding. It’s not as overt (yet) as what those three have done, but it’s the same fundamental approach with the identical goals.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Barack Hussein Obama is a dangerous, dangerous man.
