WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Wednesday that police acted "stupidly" in the arrest of prominent black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. and that despite racial progress blacks and Hispanics are still singled out unfairly for arrest.
So Barack Obama clearly needs no further investigation into this incident. He has already decided that the police acted wrongly and that the Harvard professor was the victim of profiling.
This is the sort of sober, fact-driven careful consideration of facts we expected from Obama isn’t it?
Well, ironically enough, in my case, this is EXACTLY the sort of behavior I expected from Obama.

Yeah this doesn’t surprise me at all either…just another one of Obama’s old pals
And talking about acting “stupidly”….this was a very stupid thing for the president to say. He even stated that he didn’t even know all the facts right before he stated that they acted “stupidly”. And what a great way to increase racial problems and tensions in the country….very irresponsible.
Personally, I hope a police officer would stop and ID me if I am trying to break into my own house. Otherwise, someone just saying “I live here” could cost me and my family our lives.
Read the (now deleted from the Boston Globe’s web-site) police report:

Like Obama (and the First Lady), Gates is a typical black activist/elitist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Louis_Gates,_Jr.) who views everything in terms of race (with the white devil always out to oppress the minorities). He began shouting “racism” immediately upon his encounter with the police.
From what I’ve seen thus far, the police acted with admirable restraint.
I did not watch the Obama Show last night, but I did read about his answer to the question.
My first thought was that if any US President (Reagan, Johnson, Bush, even Carter or Clinton, got a question like that they would have said, “This press conference is about health care. Next question.”
The guy is mentally ill! He just can not restrain himself…especially when it comes to issues of race.
One other thing that’s clear and it’s Obama’s “Senate-itis”. Legislators often shoot from the hip on these sorts of things, but executive politicians never do if they have any sort of a clue.
Even if this cop turns out to be the second coming of Bull Connor and HL Gates turns out to be the most obedient citizen in history, a good executive would not comment on an “ongoing investigation”. At most, he’d say “I urge everyone to remain calm and not come to conclusions until all the facts are on the table”.
But based on the police report, it looks like HL Gates is a prototypical self-important, self-regarding pompous ass.
From CNN today, regarding the ‘beer summit’:
“After much discussion about which beer would be served, Obama chose a Bud Light, Biden went with Buckler, Gates had a Sam Adams Light, and Crowley chose a Blue Moon.”
So now we know that Crowley has the better taste in beer, at least.
Bud Light? Seriously?
Pace:
Do you think the taste of the beer was even remotely a consideration in the choice Obama made? Seriously?
This is a PR event, carefully staged to try to yank Obama’s fat out of the fire on this issue, which has seen his polls plummet and his healthcare initiative sidetracked.
He’d drink horse piss if he thought it would help.
No, I just like dissin’ Bud Light.
Isn’t Buckler non-alcholic? Is Joe a teetotaller?
Dunno
