Wow, I just realized I didn’t post anything from Friday until now. That’s probably a record for me not being on vacation or something.

So the question is “why?”

I think the best answer is that I simply have not had much to talk about lately. I mean there are only so many ways to talk about how Barack Obama’s first month has been an unmitigated disaster which has been recast into a complete success by the continued sycophancy of the mainstream media. There are only so many ways to describe the unprecedented mortgaging of our children’s and grandchildren’s futures to fund baby boomers’ incessant demand for material goods. There are only so many ways to describe the breathtaking hypocrisy of Obama’s vicious attacks on G. W. Bush over the past two years morphing into his near-total acceptance of Bush’s policies, particularly those that Obama heaped with the most scorn and vitriol.

So I’ve sort of run out of steam on the whole political front.

I suppose I should refocus instead on science and technology, or perhaps culture. But for this weekend the cultural event which supposedly captured the attention of the nation was the Academy Awards, and I’ve grown so tired of listening to vapid drug-hazed “celebrities” lecture the world on how WE should live and who WE should hate that I haven’t watched the Academy Awards in a decade. And I don’t see why anyone else would watch them either.

I suppose I could comment on the surprising run of the Denver Nuggets into playoff contention, but I’m not really a big basketball fan.

Maybe I should go on another nostalgia kick and post old photos of Mallory Keaton from “Family Ties….”
