Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackIts better than the Rays winning if only because of not having to listen to the sports talking heads going on and on and on about the worst to first.
The Rays are a decent team, but in the games I saw of theirs, while they had very good pitching and defense, most of their offense – except in the first two rounds of the post season, was more to do with luck than skill.
Timely hitting… sorry, but I find it hard to believe that a player – let alone a team of players – lay down on all other at bats, or step it up for that “clutch” hit.
At least we don’t have to see Youkilis fist pumping on ESPN any more. That is one ugly dude.
I cared enough to stay off the streets of Philly last night.
I thought about linking to some of the stories on the violence, but violence in big cities after sports championships isn’t really news anymore is it?
If the cops rounded up the perpetrators, I’d be interested in a poll of which candidate they support for the upcoming election…
Compared to Detroit and LA, it was pretty mild here. Mostly the work of drunks so they couldn’t even riot very well.
