Just exactly what I expected to happen. I have said it before, today’s “environmentalists” are not remotely concerned about what’s best for the environment, they are anti-progress, anti-corporation, anti-U.S., and are not interested in improving our power generation options, they are only interested in blocking progress.
Coalition sues Land Office over wind farms The famed King Ranch and a coalition of environmental groups sued Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson in federal court Tuesday, seeking to require extensive environmental review and public comment on two planned wind power projects along the Gulf Coast in Kenedy County. The coalition, the Coastal Habitat Alliance, also sued over the wind project in state District Court in Travis County. That suit claims that the state’s Public Utility Commission illegally denied the alliance’s request to participate in permit hearings for the wind project’s transmission line.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis is puzzling, but I think I have it figured out.
I just have to assume that The King Ranch (which has to make a profit, and avoid lawsuits when possible) wants to stop the windmill farm in order to avoid “global warming fines” in the future.
I mean…you get thousands of cows laying piles, and farting…then you get windmills blowing all that methane toward the UN…Heck, the fines could put them out of business. Texans aren’t stupid…
The Sierra club has as it’s primary reason for opposing nuclear power to prevent “unwarranted economic growth”. There you have it. They see any scenario with human flourishing and prosperity as a nightmare.
