CNN “commentator” Lou Dobbs weighs in on the Bush Legacy…
Dobbs: Beware the lame duck – CNN.com NEW YORK (CNN) — Diehard GOP faithful, the dwindling number of Bush loyalists and political pundits of every stripe and medium seem obsessed these days with defining or discerning the “legacy of George W. Bush.” Frankly, I spend more time worrying about whether or not the United States can survive the remaining 15 months of his ebbing presidency.
Go read the whole thing if you want to take a trip through the mind of the truly Bush-obsessed and Bush-deranged. It is amazing to me how far off the edge these folks have really gone. We had similar right-wing nutcases when Bill Clinton was President, but we didn’t give them worldwide platforms to spew their nonsense.

I would think we’d need to let a little history go by before deciding what anyone’s legacy will be. Harry Truman left office as the most unpopular president in history with a 20% approval rating and an unpopular war that by that time had cost the lives of over 30,000 Americans. I dare say Truman’s legacy has recovered somewhat. Also, does Dobbs really think Bush’s support for some “Law of the Sea” will play any part in defining Bush’s legacy? I’ve never even heard of it.
As I said, these people are so consumed in their hatred of Bush that they have lost all capacity for rational thought. They live in a sea of similar Bush-haters, they think EVERYONE hates Bush just like they do. To them these are self-evident facts. They consider anyone who does not believe the same thing to be either idiots or evil clones of Chimpy McBushHitler. There is no way to reason with them.
What bothers me is that our right-wing nutjobs carry signs outside of the White House and self-publish manifestos on the web. THEIR nutjobs control the content of the world’s greatest propaganda machine and they use it with impunity.
I think the title should be ‘BDS’ not ‘BSD’…
Sigh… getting dyslexic in my old age… thanks, it’s been fixed.
Hey Rick S.: You say that you have never heard of the Law of the Sea Treaty…you had better look into it. No one has (or very few). It is dangerous for the future of the US, and US sovereignty, and President Bush is behind it. It is working its way through Congress now under the radar.
Reagan rejected it, but it keeps coming back.
I don’t hate Bush by any stretch, but this thing is really hazardous to the future of our nation.
