There were a lot of upsets today on the college gridiron. Texas lost. West Virginia lost. Rutgers lost. Oklahoma lost. Clemson lost. Penn State lost. Florida lost. Alabama lost. Wisconsin and USC nearly lost…
…all to unranked teams.
I guess victors and champions really do need to be decided on the field of play.
Please take note you miserable BCS!

It did my heart good to see Colorado whip Oklahoma. It is always a good Saturday when the Sooners lose. Florida, Texas, and even #1 USC (just barely escaped Washington) all looked weak.
My #2 LSU Tigers looked weak, too. Tulane took it to them for 2 1/2 quarters before LSU’s superior athletes got it together…but it was a potential upset for a long time.
I have learned not to crow to loud about my beloved Tigers…jinx them every time. Next week we will see what LSU is really made of. They have already beaten VT, and SC (top 10 ranked at the time of the games).
Next week, they’ve got Florida (Florida is GOOD, and Florida is going to be desperate after their loss). At least we’ve got them at home.
Man, I wish USC had lost! I shouldn’t feel that way. Their quarterback John David Booty is a Shreveport boy, and by all accounts a heckuva young man…brillliant…good citizen, etc. I want him to have good success, but I just don’t like USC…It is against the rules in LSU fandom. Great football season so far!
Sorry, should read “crow too loudly”
