OK, so Dean’s World had this post about movies that you can watch over and over again. I’m stealing the idea but changing “watch” to “enjoy”, and I’m only looking for your top five.

So, if you were marooned on a desert island (or even on a dessert island…) and had a solar powered DVD player and could only salvage five dvds from a sinking ship, which five would you take?

Here’s my list:

Time Life How To series: “Making fires in the wilderness”
Home Depot’s DVD Series: “How to build a cabin”

Wait, OK, let’s change it a bit. OK, so the only DVDs you can save are movies produced for movie screens or TV. No “how to” DVDs allowed…

Here’s my new list:

  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  • Toy Story (or The Incredibles, either one)
  • Pride and Prejudice (the A&E verson, yes I know it’s a multi-disk set… so sue me)
  • The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
  • McClintock (gotta have a John Wayne movie, and Maureen O’Hara in her skivvies sure doesn’t hurt….)

What about yours?
