Not only are they out there, they aren’t happy with us.

A choice quote from the Yahoo story:

Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defence Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: “UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head.”

Perhaps the choicest comment from this moonbat:

Mr. Hellyer went on to say, “I’m so concerned about what the consequences might be of starting an intergalactic war, that I just think I had to say something.”

So, which galaxy are we going to be at war with? The closest “real” galaxy is Andromeda, which is some 2-3 million light years away, meaning if we fired a missile at it, well, let’s just say they wouldn’t be bothering with air raid warnings. I suppose Mr. Hellyer could mean one of the satellite dwarf galaxies, such as the Greater or Lesser Magellanic Clouds, which are merely 180,000 or so light years away. Heck Voyager 1 or Voyager 2, the fastest moving man-made objects in the universe, might reach one of them in about a billion years or so.

“Intergalactic war” sheeesh what a marooon.
