Iran takes 15 British sailors from Iraqi waters, just as they said they would just a few weeks ago.
I keep trying to explain to people that regimes like Iran are not shy about telling us what their intentions are. The best way to know what Iran plans to do is to listen to them brag about it. First they say it, then they do it.
So when they say they will use nuclear weapons if threatened I think it’s pretty important for us to decide what they think a “threat” is. Because their idea of a threat and our idea might be completely different things. In fact, since their President has repeatedly said that Iran is preparing for the end times where the world will be ruled by a Muslim Caliphate, it is quite clear that they believe nuclear weapons will play a role in the final conflicts.
This is why I think Iran is a true and compelling threat to world peace in general and to the United States specifically.
I hope this latest development wakes up some people who can at least try to deal with the threat.

Well, of course everyone knows that I think its well past time to attack Iran. But now is better than later.
Which is why it burns me to no end that we have committed so much of our military strength to Iraq that it leaves us with very little to go after a much bigger threat, Iran. Maybe it’s time we stopped pussy footing around over there and do the job right. I really think our nation needs to reinstitute the draft, or some form of it, so we have the military strength to deal with there crises. Maybe do it something like isreal does, where every young person has to serve for 2-4 years?
[...] I think I already made this point, so I’m not surprised to see it confirmed by this report. The question is what are we going to do about it? World Tribune.com — Report: Iran ordered abductions to avenge defections [...]
