I would like to think that my response would have been (as a US Senator), “The difference it makes is that I asked you the question, and I want a direct answer. I am a US Senator, sitting on a committee that has oversight of your agency, and when I ask you a direct question, I want an answer.”
Hell, it’s not like Senator Dude was asking her if Guam was gonna tip over if we put too many troops there.
