So, George Stephanopoulos says there is no bias in the media.

How is it that the persistent and overwhelming media bias is denied so regularly and forcefully?

Well, it’s tied to the same thing as how there are no “extreme left wingers” on the news. While virtually every story that covers a John Boehner or Paul Ryan or even a Bobby Jindal will find a way to insert the magical phrase “extreme right wing” if you do a search through every major news story of the past forty years you will find virtually NO mention of an “extreme left wing.”

Because from the media’s perspective, there is no such thing. The entire political landscape looks like this:

Left wing – Paul Krugman, Reverend Wright, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton
Left center – Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman Schulz
Moderate – Joe Lieberman, Bill Clinton
Right wing – Olympia Snowe, Bill O’Reilly
Extreme right wing – John Boehner, Mitch McConnell
Threat to all that is good and holy comparable only to Adolph Hitler – George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Paul Ryan

So from George Stephanopoulos’ perspective, he’s right, there is no media bias. It’s not his fault there is no extreme side to the Left of the political spectrum. Heck, that’s probably why he lives there. All the crazies are on the right side.
