It was universally derided by every caller who they put on the air as total insanity.

Then someone brought up Seattle’s Mayor sending the letter to Santa Claus worrying about the North Pole melting and Santa and all his reindeer drowning, so everyone had a good laugh at the insanity of liberal political correctness. But nobody could think of what to do about it.
