You’re not the only one who isn’t surprised by this. We have radical activist leftists running virtually every major governmental institution – DOJ, EPA, Treasury, Commerce, IRS, etc. – and an mindset that believes any means can be justified if the ends are perceived (by them) to be ‘good’.

Personally, I’m feeling something very similar to mourning because I don’t think anyone will be held accountable for these recent scandals, especially not Obama. With cover provided by a fawning media and a pathologically ignorant electorate, this administration will likely be able to obfuscate their way out of this.

If that happens it’s strong evidence the demise of this once great nation is happening much faster than I once thought…

The point to the post was that everyone does stuff that looks stupid, but the press is highly selective about choosing which individuals they decide to make look foolish.

He’s lifting the umbrella over the gate and staying dry, instead of taking it down, getting wet and putting it back up again.

Watch for stray nails. They get everywhere. Found them in random places for at least a week after our roof was complete.

Repairs are scheduled to begin tomorrow, assuming the weather complies. For a couple of days we will have to park in our yard to allow the roofers to hurl chunks of our roof into a bin in our driveway, and then to park the roofing supplies to re-roof the house. We may not be able to park in our garage for several days.

But it’s all worth it.

Foo, yeah, it was hail damage and the insurance is providing full replacement value minus my deductible.
